Damon Iaea
Team Director

Damon Iaea is the founder of Team Move. When he is not training or racing, he works as a certified personal trainer at two organized fitness clubs on Oahu. He works with clients of every body shape, occupation, and fitness level and goals. He has an extensive background in Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instruction; where he has taught people of all ages how to swim properly. He was a lifeguard for seven years, teaching the vital necessity of swim, to everyone from infants to senior citizens, in his entire water safety instruction background.

Active in sports and fitness since high school, he first became involved with exercise when he joined his high school’s swim team. Between competing with friends and friendly rivals, he found that he had a passion for racing. After his first real race, The Christmas Biathlon, he was hooked. More biathlons, and then road races soon followed after that, until finally he evolved into triathlons. He has always said that one of the most inspiring things to see is The Ironman Triathlon Championships held in Kona, Hawaii. As he became more interested in the race, not only was he amazed by the distance of the race and each athlete’s determination; but also the stories along the way about different people, with different challenges in their life. Consequently, completing the Ironman Triathlon is one of his lifelong goals.

Although he was used to training for these strenuous races alone, he soon came to the realization that training and exercising with others is not only fun, but is a great motivator for anyone. Along with Team Move, he hopes to inspire, and motivate people to live a healthier lifestyle, and exercise.

Kim Lehano
Co-Founder / Program Coordinator

Kimberly Lehano has seen for herself, how much of a difference a healthier lifestyle is. Rail thin her whole life, that changed drastically, after numerous automobile accidents. She became discouraged after medical professionals told her she wouldn’t be able to exercise normally. Everything she tried to do, hurt, and she found solace in relaxation. However, back pain got worse, and she gained weight.

After awhile, she realized that she wasn’t happy with her self-image. She was then introduced to yoga…and dropped weight, gained muscle tone, and changed her whole view on fitness and on staying in shape. This led her to early morning walks with a friend, (all uphill steep incline) and trips to the beach to swim in Hawaii’s beautiful ocean. The energy she gained from this newfound healthy body, encouraged her to stay in shape.

THEN …. (*drumroll*) as many of you women out there can relate, she had a baby! She actually remained in yoga up until about her 7-8th month of pregnancy, and then her YOGA instructor went on maternity leave! So this brings her to the present day in age—the motivation to get her “body” back and stay in shape, not only for herself, but for her son, and for her active lifestyle. As a television producer and host, freelance writer, as well as healthcare professional, she was looking for something to incorporate into her busy life.

TEAM MOVE was the perfect fit and teaming up with Damon, they established that “something missing” on this side of Oahu, from which all those working, like Kim herself, can be accommodated by.
